i like the technium series.
i personally would switch up the gearing so that the shifters would either be on the downtube or look around for some sti shifters. shimano 600 is a great group

Careful converting to a FIXED. Cold setting the chainstays to 120 from 130 puts a lot of stess on the bonded BB joints. And save all the geared parts-these bikes are collectable.
