I bought a 1989 SR2000 on craigslist and upgraded it from 6 speeds to 7 with modern brifters. According to the 1989 Canny brochure, the SR2000 should have come with a 8 speed dura-ace set, but mine had a wide mix of parts from different manufactures (including a 6 speed Shimano 600, which was a 7 speed part in 1989).This leads me to believe that the original owner of my frame bought just the frame. I know that it is a SR2000 frame because the fork is aluminum, while the SR400 frame uses a steel fork. The 400 and 2000 are the only SR models in 1989 that came in blue, however they are different blues. Brochure here: https://imgur.com/a/z9lbD
