(Long story short...) At 5:45pm 10/24/14 when I was struck by a car doing 45. I went into the hood and windshield before flying 30 feet away. My bike went 30 feet in the other direction. My femur broke and I now have 3 screws holding it all together. Beyond lucky to still be alive. Let alone only coming away with a broken leg from such a bad accident. Can't work for 3 months. Selling prints to help with rent from missing so much work. Go here to view print options: http://cargocollective.com/jakericker. Any photo available. 8x10-$30 11x14-$45. Email me at: jakericker@gmail.com ========================================================= Bought from another Seattle messenger for super cheap. And I use it for work all the time as well. Looks a lot more uncomfortable than it is. Actually rides quite nice. http://www.flickr.com/photos/laali/ http://jesusaintsavingshit.tumblr.com / Instagram: @jake_ricker

get well soon.
i am going to assume this is not a story where a caliper brake would have made a difference..........

I was going 5 miles an hour in a bike lane on a green. It made no difference. Brakes do not make a bike safer. A good rider, less shitty drivers, and less dangerous intersections do.

dude, i was always confused about the aero track because theres this one which is fucking sick and then that orange which is alrriigghhtt, but not as cool as this one. did khs make two? or what, i thought that they only made one model of it and then discontinued it.

Those orange ones are steel.
These red ones are aluminum.
Both handmade in the USA.
Then they stopped doing the pursuit looking downward sloping toptube and added the curved seatutbe.
And still called them the "Aero Track".
I don't know much about them now.
Seems like the "Flite 100" is their track frames these days.
And probably all made in asia.
It's funny the old Flite 100's came stock with Sugino 75's and other pretty nice parts for like $500.
Sugino 75's alone are 300+.
But I've only seen a couple of these old 90's pursuit frames in person.
Seem to be pretty damn rare.

Yea dude, I've NEVER seen one in person. Hahaha, you're definitely extremely lucky to own one. Where did you even get this from?
Posted almost 13 years ago
I got it from a friend and fellow Seattle messenger for $500 complete almost 3 years ago.
Not sure where he got it though.

Yeah he hooked me up big time and at the time I didn't really know him that well.
Now we are good buds.
I changed a couple things around.
And swapped the current fork from a Reynolds carbon fork.

Oh, so you still have the original fork? That's great! It'll certainly help if you ever want to resell it. :]
Why don't you use it?
Posted almost 13 years ago
No it came with a Renyolds carbon fork.
And I switched it for the Easton Aero fork.
If it came with the original fork I would have never fucked with it.
I've looked for one since getting it.
Never seen one pop up.

Yea dude, the only thing more rare than this frame would be the fork by itself. Hahaha. It still looks super sick though!

Jon, did you ever think you would own one? I literally want this guys bike so badly because it's my size AND we could be bike twins! :D

I finally tracked down the original fork.
It's all 100% complete now. :)
