Ron Spencer was a member of Warrington Road Club, and national 12 Hour champion in the 1960s. In the early 1980s he opened his own shop on Padgate Lane in Warrington, which over the years expanded and became a very successful business, sadly Ron passed away last year, his shop continues the trade, however this is an early 1980s custom built Ron Spencer frame I was lucky to purchase recently at a cycle jumble. Ron gave me a great deal of help over the years, nominating for membership of Warrington Road Club, supplying my first pair of cycling shoes as a schoolboy to my racing bikes in more recent years, therefore a cherished bike in my collection now

Great to remember your inspiration. Too many prefer to throw out the baby with the bath and consider anything old stlye worthless or in need of"fixxing". love the downtube shifters. Enjoy.
