Pretty bike, similar to my SAB build where I went on ltd cost, although I did splash out on 105 gearing, but Claris brakes and Microshift shifters! Ribble or Wiggle for the 1" forks either one is good. 55cm is fine for me and I'm 5' 9". You can't go wrong with that frame, especially for the price.. Happy riding!

Thanks :) I plan on upgrading to 9 speed and microshift shifters. Then once I get around to shortening the steerer tube it'll finally be finished.

looks nice, I'm getting a frame like that for my project, do you think size 55 will be a good choice for a 5.9 feet guy?

I'm 5,10 and figured a 55 might be too big for me as my previous 56 was too big. 52 seems good for me but I'd be curious to try a 55 to see if it's any better.

I'll try and I'll tell you how 55 feels. Btw. was it hard to find a good 1" fork and was it expensive?

Cool. I found a 1" fork on Ribble. The CSN carbon fork. I think it was about €90.

firstly :the frame looks way to small for you, due to your seatpost and stem height.

secondly : level your bar till your drops are paralel to your tires.

thirdly : save some money and buy at least an sram apex or 105 group.

cheers

Hey, thanks for the comment.

The frame seems to be a good fit believe it or not. The stem is far too long so a new part is in the post. You're right about the bar though, it looks completely wonky in the photo.

As for the groupset, I guess it's the eternal debate. I'm sure Apex and 105 are excellent, but for my needs and financial situation the Tiagra/Sora cocktail is ideal, and works very well. I'll upgrade to full Tiagra at some stage, no rush.

Also, I managed to build the whole bike for little more than the cost of a new 105 groupset. Life's little victories :)
