it's my 2nd season with almost equal ratio.
at 1st it was like 42:13
it's kinda hard to go uphill sometimes but i like to ride that way

Big ring rides differently than smaller rings. I've ridden smaller rings and it comes down to cadence. Less spinning to get similar speed. And i do take offense to being called a novice after riding track bikes for the last 8 years.

Exactly my point. Numbers are just numbers. Climbing isn't as easy on my ratio either. But I prefer it for descending and flats. It's just fact that it takes more power to push it. I wasn't trying to cheapen smaller rings at all. No bragging, just preference.
