Current Stage Info:
with this KMC chain i was actually able to put the wheel much closer to the seat tube. the wheel is right now all the way to the front of the dropouts. so this is as close as i could possibly get the wheel to the seat tube.

Did your bike come with your izumi v chain slammed like that?
Posted almost 12 years ago
it came with izumi v but i couldnt slam it. plus it came too short so no mods could be done to the ratio without havin to get a new chain.
Posted almost 12 years ago
Oh alright I was wondering why you swapped chains. That sucks! The Izumi V is the best track chain out there!
Posted almost 12 years ago
yeah they are the best. and i will get another one. im just testin out this ratio. if i do like it ill be gettin new parts. cog, chainring, chain.

bar angle. womp
Posted almost 12 years ago
the bar has a flat top. if i make the bottom of the bars straight to the ground the flat top isnt flat anymore becomes extremly inclined. so its pointless to have a flat comfortable top when u cant use it. just to make it "look" proper to others.

what easton bars are those? from all the easton aero road bars, none of them seem to have a flat top which isn't flat when the bars are in the proper position. it wouldn't even make sense to make flat top bars that aren't flat if the bars are in the right position

thats the best picbu can see. that the bottom part is straight to the ground and the top isnt flat anymore is actually on an angle.

oh i see it... that's pretty strange.. i guess they implied that you would be gripping the bars in a different angle with these bars when designing them

yeah they r weird. i didnt realize they were angled till i put them on and i was too lazy to return them. butbits all good they r not gonna stay there forever. im gettin the easton ec90 aero road bars. i love those. my friend has them and i love the ergodinamics of it.

definitely need to fix that bar angle.
i have a pair of the easton ec90 aeros and i'm planning on swapping em out soon. my experience with them is that they're great bars, and stiff. only gripe is that my wrists hit the flats of top of the bars when riding with my hands in the drops.

If you want new handlebars try out 3T Rotundo. Its very comfortable and has very long straight drops that are great for sprinting on. It also has straight tops unlike traditional track drops so its comfortable to rest your hands on there. Its a modern bar with the best features of track drops! It's also pretty damn stiff too.
As a personal preference too I would probably get white track grips, 3T Arx Pro stem, white saddle, silver chainring + crankarms. But thats just my inner euro...

i wouldnt want to change the whole crankset just for the color. i like the blacked out look on this bike. and i dont see the point on buying a new crankset just for different color. and im going to put black lizard skin bar tape, i use this bike on the road so i wont be havin track grips. i have my specialized track pista drops with track grips for that.
and those 3T bars dont have the flat aero top unless ur thinkin about another model?
also im lookin to get the EC90 aero road bars in the future for upgrading. not much of a fan of 3T even thou i seen couple people use it. i have always used Easton products and i liked them.
and white saddles are just too messy. gets dirty quick and also doesnt go with the blacked out look of the bike.
