I dig both looks, but think I prefer the older anodized mavics. I always pick box rim over V though ;-)

Thanks! I'm generally a box section guy myself, but I've always like the old CXP series.

Accidentally removed the fellows comment. Someone asked what crankset this was.

Where do you ride in Indy?

I live downtown, so mainly in that vicinity. I lived in Fountain Square previously, so I still hit that up quite a bit. What about you?

I live in South Bend so I don't get down to Indy too much but I'd like to this spring and summer. I usually hit up the skatepark at Major Taylor. I'm assuming thats the velodrome you ride.

Nice. Do you ride any group rides or organized rides down there?

I did once a few years ago. I'd really like to start doing getting involved in more. I've always wanted to do the Tweed Ride they have, but I missed the sign up last year.

I just wanted to say that this is seriously one of the most beautiful track bikes I've ever beheld. I'm sure it would perform nicely at an actual velodrome as well!

Thanks, that means a ton because I really like your stable! It doesn't get ridden much on the street, just took it out for the pics.

I kind of like the Campy Strada-type cranks more aesthetically. The build was just so perfect! But the new wheels definitely "look" a lot better than the tubs, and are more practical if you're skidding.

I agree but this could possibly see a major overhaul in the near future. I'm pretty sure I just picked up a green Crack that I plan to stick the Mavic build on. If so, this will be getting the classic Campy treatment. Part of me hates to do it because I love how it turned out, but I've always had full Campy/Cinelli in its future. This is mostly a track queen, my fixed street needs are fulfilled by a beater ;)
