why not no replace V's with canti's and set up proper dropbar brake levers to avoid these ugly cable loops?

Thank you for your response. I will be upgrading them with Cantis and also the brake levers. That would be for the next stage of the build. The tyres and crankset will also be replaced.

btw, did you have to grind mtb brake levers to fit them onto dropbar?

Actually, I have placed an order for a pair of identical copy of Tektro levers. Also had upgraded them right now with a new crankset and chain tensioner placed on the RD thread. The brake levers that I have used here are for the early 1970s road bikes before the internal routed cables were introduced on that era. But the cables were pretty exposed on a nasty loop. I'll be posting the pictures for the next stage of the setup real soon once I got the parts and some fresh new tires.
