Bought the frameset and built it with a new-take off 5800 group, and a new wheelset. It will be my weekend fun, long-distance road bike. This is my first bike with brifters after riding only downtube and bar-end shifters for the last several years.

first of all sweet bike. I ran into problems with my 105 front derailleur on my pacer. I got the braze on version and had to get an adapter and I cant clear tires over 25c on the rear. Did you run into this problem with the band on front derailleur? I wanted to know before I pulled the trigger on one. the part where the cable clamps in is too close to my rear wheel and I want to ride 32's on it.

Thanks! I added a picture of the clearance at the derailleur clamp. I've got plenty of room. I'm sure I could fit 35's or larger.

I appreciate it! I just put the new derailleur on and put some 32's on there. your build was the only one I saw with 105 FD. Thanks for the help.
