Trek 1000 Hack

Ebay purchase. First ever road bike. Just need something to get on and ride. I'm finding this bike comfortable so I think I'll slowly upgrade it. Wheels first I think, would benefit from a powder-coat too.

Shimano R540 SPD-SL

Drivetrain/Cog/Chainring/Chain:
Crank/Chainrings - Bontrager Sport 52/42/30. Cassette - SRAM 850 12-26, 8 speed

Derailleurs/Shifters:
Shimano Sora

Handlebars/Stem:
Azonic Chrome MTB style stem... not sure why. Bontrager Ergo bars.

Saddle/Seatpost:
Bontrager CRZ Road

Brakes:
No-brand chrome

Front Wheel/Hub/Tire:
Fulcrum Racing 5

Rear Wheel/Hub/Tire:
Fulcrum Racing 5

Accessories:
Specialized saddle bag, Cateye lights.

The old Alex wheels didn't last long, well at least the rear one, went through about 6 spokes, so rather than rebuild a wheel I was always going to upgrade, I upgraded.
