I already upgraded the bars and stem and removed the rear brake. Gona swap out the lever for a gold finger.

What makes the rev x dangerous?

think about the structure of them. the carbon spokes thin out where the wheel needs to take the most impact. plus the carbon is very thin

You definitely need new components. Lose the bars, brakes, and stem for a start.

was thinking of adding:
Spinergy Rev X wheelset
Thomason 130mm stem (is that too long?)
Thomson Seat Post
Easton Monkey Riser bar

Im riding on the freewheel so i need brakes. May get nicer brake levers (Avid?)

Thoughts?

if you're just starting off SS and then moving onto fixed gear eventually (i hope you do) then there's not point on getting nicer brakes.
and a spinergy rev x wheelset is dangerous. id rather ride on a wheel with 8 spokes than a rev x. stem length depends varies on person to person. you'd have to be really tall to ride on a 60 with a 130 stem though.
