I like this build as well, but why the switch the older frame? I did like the volume cut-out, and what people were doing with it though.

Thanks. The v5 is more suited for me. I don't need the huge tire clearance / seat tube curve of the v6. Have always liked the lite blue v5, and kinda had an impulse buy when I saw one on ebay. :)

I'm digging for extra details 'cause I'll need to know if there's an issue with the V6 - in case I find one down the road, etc. Tnx.

No. They are the same. The v6 can run bigger tires. They are rated for 45c it seems. If you were to put a 45c on a cutter, the toe overlap would be horrible. VS say a thrasher, or hurricane or whatever 700c fgfs is popular these days. If you wanted to barspin a 700c, then a thrasher is a better choice. http://clingerposse.wordpress.com/2010/...
