you should go back to the sanmarco with the mash bars and black fork

Nice bike. It's funny how everyone is wet all over those silly chain rings.
Posted over 11 years ago
How do you like running 47/17? I'm thinking about picking up a 44RN chainring as well.
Posted almost 12 years ago
Its great ! but thinking about selling it to run a higher gear ratio on the new bike.
Posted almost 12 years ago
The fork was from a guy with a DI2 Bianchi with zipps right?
Posted almost 12 years ago
where did you get that fork? is it sold separately or not?
Posted almost 12 years ago
Dont know if they sell it separately, I bought it from a friend who was upgrading forks.

LF Phil's are so gangster. Wish I could get a zen! They're so nice.

Thanks ! yea there are pretty ganster just trying to find to rims now to relace them. Any suggestions ?
Posted about 12 years ago
I'm not sure, I'm not really one you'd want to ask about rims. I've only had a couple pairs of no name wheels, B43's, and my current Mavic Open Pros (which I love dearly). I've heard good things about H+Son rims.

lol your seatpost height is way too low. jesus christ. you need a bigger frame.
Posted about 12 years ago
I think you mean smaller frame ? And the seatpost is "low" because the Omniums are 172.5 in length, but i already slammed my stem and took the top cap off the headset to get more saddle to bar drop.
Posted about 12 years ago
look at your default for your pedalroom... that bike is way to small
Posted about 12 years ago
I have no clue why it looks so small there but it fits well, because I'm 5'11 and i have a short inseam of 31.2 and short arms.
Posted about 12 years ago
the 54cm is too small. if you're 5"11, you should be riding a 56cm
Posted almost 12 years ago
I wish, i tried riding 56 and my arms and inseam are just too short, I can fit most 54 its just Windsor and other bikes like Mercier always run a lot bigger than suggested so this 54 is more like a 56, but hope to get rid of this frame asap and pick something else up.

Awesome windsor! I would've never thought a windsor would be this bad ass!
Posted about 12 years ago
I recognize that lake! Is it Hellyer? hahaha
Btw very nice build only thing i would change is that fork! Best windsor i've seen.
Posted over 12 years ago
Haha yup ! i live right around the corner ! I know im on the look out for a full carbon fork !
Posted over 12 years ago
Really? i do too haha! on coyote rd. actually. Nd ever thought about a wound up fork?
Posted over 12 years ago
Nicee i live on Continental Dr ! Yea actually but i always just see 1 inch wound ups for sale.
Posted over 12 years ago
Really liked the orignal setup with the Mash bullhorns and San Marco but the new setup is still nice. Sick ass Windsor!
Posted over 12 years ago
Thanks a lot ! i still have the parts and still throw them on every once in a while !
Posted over 12 years ago
Im looking to buy one of these, i am 5'7". How tall are you and how do you like the 54cm?
Posted over 12 years ago
Im about 5'10 but i wish i could of gotten a 52 because they run pretty big.
Posted over 12 years ago
nice
Posted over 12 years ago
Thanks a lot man, i really love all your builds.
Keep up the good work.
Posted over 12 years ago
wow this looks really sweet. loving the selle italia flite saddle man! I'm sort of contemplating on whether to raw out my windsor frame and fork like yours aha
Posted over 12 years ago
how long did the whole process take? you won't mind if our frames and forks look identical aha?
Posted over 12 years ago
It took about 2 days but because i took my time. The first day i stripped the paint and just sanded some parts that wouldnt come off as good, and the next day i clearcoated it.
Posted over 12 years ago
appreciate you favoriting my bike! i think this looks sweet but it would look amazing with a straight blade carbon fork
Posted over 12 years ago
Thanks a lot ! Yea i know, that is the only thing I really want to change.
Posted over 12 years ago
full steps on the paint job? do you use the paint stripper first on the clearcoat? or sand it and then use the paint stripper. btw very sweet bike
Posted over 12 years ago
I just put the paint stripper on top of the clear coat, there's no point of having to sand it off first.
Posted over 12 years ago
is it necessary to take the entire bike apart? or can i just put on the paint stripper while its assembled?
Posted over 12 years ago
Its best to take the entire bike apart, because you will end up with a lot cleaner job ad you also run the risk of damaging some of your components because of the strenght of the paint stripper.
Posted over 12 years ago
Sickest Windsor ever. You've got yourself some really nice components there.
Posted almost 13 years ago
Looks awesome man, parts list is out of this world. Just curious though, what did you use to raw the frame?
Posted almost 13 years ago
Thanks Man ! To strip it i just took it all apart and sprayed it done with some paint stripper and after a few minutes i just scraped off all the paint then repeated on spots were it didn't come off ass good. Then clearcoated !

freeplay says:
Did you have any issues with clearance when you put on the Omnium? I got the same exact bike as you, 54 cm and all, and my SRAM S300 is hitting the chain stay. Dope bike by the way.
