The great Champion Eddy Merckx started setting up a bicycle manufacture. Since he wanted to build the best bikes possible, he managed to engage one of the best frame builders of all time to help him in designing the frames and teaching other frame builders. And as it happened Ugo de Rosa - The Master welded the first frames of the Eddy Merckx Professional and helped Eddy in the first business years.
In no time, Merckx estabilshed a company which provided top quality frames to the best riders of the world with models like the Professional or the Corsa Extra. From the mid 1980s to the mid 1990s the Eddy Merckx Corsa Extra was one of the best road bicycles you could get and also the choice of many professional teams.
