peugeot never built track frames...
Peugeot build track frames but they rare
afaik they never built them themselves. they just labeled them as peugeot but they were actually built by some different frame builder.
There is a model you could order in their 1984 French Brochure.
I have the same type of frame, frame number: 839581
I also have seen number: 839565
Most of the ones i've seen were being sold from Germany, that's interesting. I think I have seen a black and a silver one on Leboncoin, and including this one 4 from Germany

This is a genuine Peugeot track frame, whoever manufactured the tubes and built the frame is another question. Like many other brands, Italian, French, whatever, it was very normal to order frames by frame makers and then added their name, logo and stamp. Master frames makers like Pogliaghi built frames for various companies.
I had a red one that was part of a fleet of rental bikes for a velodrome in france. I will try to find pictures.
