I am looking to sell my old school Schwinn Collegiate so that I can invest in more track bike components. It was gifted to me and I thought about restoring it but its been sitting in my garage for over 5 years and I still haven't found the motivation to put any time or effort towards the resto mod idea I had.
I don't even know too much about these older style bikes but I figured Id list it so that I can learn more about that era and also use the money to buy track bike stuff and PBR.
It has a old 5 speed Campagnolo group set on it. Everything is original and the cable housing is brittle. With that being said, everything is functional and there is no frame damage. It is listed as "as is" condition and I am requesting the buyer pay shipping from Minnesota.
It's 56cm and it has tubular tires on it. Also has that weird ass 27.5 wheel size so if you bought this bike I would suggest you unlaced the wheels and use the hubs to lace up something aluminum. I am really interested in learning more about this bike so if you have any info I would appreciate it cuz I like learning about the legacy of bikes and how the technology advanced throughout time. I also appreciate the engineering that went into building something like this.
I'm not gonna list a price so please throw me a offer.
Thank you!!!
