I live in a heavily gentrified neighborhood that grows more tedious by the day, but from which I can never leave because the rent control means I pay little more than I did when the other tenants on my floor included a crack dealer and a woman who would scream at me because she thought I was a warlock or a gargoyle or something. I enjoy knitting, my cats, yoga, pour-over coffee, and tote bags. I listen to NPR podcasts while wearing vintage glasses.
