Eventually I'll get some carbon clinchers. Every time I go to buy new wheels, I end up buying another bike instead.

Is this di2 compatible?

It has internal cable routing so it may be possible to install di2, although you would have to retrofit a battery mount.

How do you like that there saddle?
Posted almost 12 years ago
It's really comfortable when there's less than 3 inches of drop between the saddle and bars. If I were to slam my stem, I'd prefer to have something more flat like an Arione. One quirk about the Aliante though is that it's very sensitive to angle tilt. It took me about 3 rides and several adjustments before I got the tilt just right.

Okay, thanks for the info! I have a fizik ardea right now and it is horrible. I'm planning on getting an arione.

You should try to locate a bike shop that has Fizik demo saddles that you can try before buying. I find the Ardea and Arione very similar to each other so there's a chance you might not like the Arione.

I've actually had an arione before! I'm not too sure why I don't like the ardea, it starts to hurt about 10 miles into a ride.

Nice bike.
Mavic Cosmic SLR are the best aero clinchers you can buy. ;)

Thanks! Cosmics are nice but I'm thinking of getting a full carbon clincher without an aluminum brake track for the weight savings. I have my eye on some ENVE wheels.

Well, Enve wheels are nice. I've got all carbon clinchers on my TT and they are not ultra safe when wet; just a point to consider. Check out Madfiber wheels for something full carbon and crazy. ;)

whats your height?you think itll fit a 5'3 1/2 dude

I'm 5'7" with a 31" cycling inseam. The 51cm might be a little too big for your height. You might want to test ride both the 48cm and 51cm to see which one fits you better.
