xpost: Do the Novatec hubs use sealed cartridge bearings?

bleh nm, after thinking about it more, i'm probably going to just use 28/32 lasers.

How are those kinlins treating you? Whats the published weight on them?
Posted over 11 years ago
I fucking love them. Nicest machined rim I've seen. They were advertised at 472-482g, they came in at an average of 465, so a bit underweight. They built up to 1626g complete. Stiff as hell. Very happy with them.

Oh also, how's the masterpiece? I almost bought one instead of the elite, but thought it was overkill for my bike (I do have some sense afterall).
Posted over 11 years ago
Masterpiece vs Elite is an unnoticeable difference. Just a bit of weight.

How do you like those Planet X brakes?
Posted over 11 years ago
They're finicky to setup, especially with the yokozuna, but the weight to cost ratio is amazing. They definitely have a sweet spot that you have to find, they don't grab hard enough if the pad is to close to the rim, and the modulation isn't exactly linear if they're too far away.
Overall, I like them. Finicky to setup, but they stop well once in place.

How do you like that saddle? I've been considering that one for a road build.
Posted over 11 years ago
It's the only saddle I'll use. Be warned, they have a lifespan due to design(only the s-works models), but I have yet to find something as comfortable.

Slammed -6 stem would probably look and function better then the -17 and a lotta spacers.
Still luv it

I almost bought this frameset off eBay, but decided to give my TCR Advanced another chance. Lucky you that I wasn't more of an impulsive douchebag (which I already am to a fairly sickening degree)!

Ahh ok, well they were probably selling like hot cakes at $600 a pop! Enough with the SRAM already. Throw it into the gutters and get yourself some CAMPYY.

Might score one of these in these, we gonna be caad brothers!!!!1

How do you like the fork?
Posted almost 12 years ago
It's pretty nice. Really well made. The carbon looks great. It's pretty beefed up too, and is pretty damn light at 370g.

no stock fork?
Posted almost 12 years ago
Nah, decided against it. I picked up the frameset on ebay, and this is the fork it came with. It's the same rake, and the atc is only 2mm different.

yeah but what's not to love about the caad 10's offset droupouts
Posted almost 12 years ago
yikes, i cannot read. thought you changed them purposely. anyways, goodluck with the build!

Gonna be dope. Nice to see you're going for a roadie that looks like a bike, not a space ship like that crabon.

So sick! Those chain stays, the murdered out color, understated styling, this I can appreciate!

Really great build! I really like the way the whiskey fork looks on the bike.
