Current Stage Info:
Putting the fixed gear thing on hold, or maybe for good. Got back into road biking so i've been trying to sell the parts on this bad boy, with the exception of the frame, not giving that up so easily.

How do you like those china carbon bars? I was thinking about jumping on some since i cracked my current bars.
Posted almost 12 years ago
I just got them in today and havent really tried them out to the fullest. Ill have to get back to you on that after putting some miles on the bars
Posted almost 12 years ago
ok so from one day what i noticed was that these bars are not as stiff as my previous Deda pista bars.
Posted almost 12 years ago
no climbing yet but from track standing to slowing down and even speed checking, I can feel flex in these bars that I have not felt in my pista's. for 120 you get what you paid for but the bars from what Ive seen yet are still pretty sweet. Only recommendation I have is make them stiff as ever.

So clean and stealthy!love it,maybe i would change the bars-stem combo with road bars, less angle on the stem. But still, very nice build.
Posted almost 12 years ago
Yeah I recently ordered compact bars integrated with the stem so when I have time Ill delete this photo an posted updated.
Posted almost 12 years ago
You should try out some compact road drops, which would allow you to level your stem (if not only get a zero degree one) and lower your weight a few grams. But I just wanted to get the bad news out of the way, because this thing is SCHWEET.

I love the love! how does the frame set hold on the streets? I'm thinkin of getting one
Posted about 12 years ago
It hold up pretty solid. It could be the Ellipses but when I go over some rough cracks I can feel some vibrations.
Posted about 12 years ago
Beautiful. How tall are you and what's your inseam? </shitcyclistssay>
Posted about 12 years ago
Last time I was measured, 5'11". Inseam, well I'm not too sure. Oh and thank you for the kind word!

morree picccsss

I know! I keep slacking on that. I want to get pictures outside but I keep forgetting.
Posted about 12 years ago
I love it. It's really solid and can take a beating on the streets, not to mention it turns heads haha. I feel i might have gotten one size too small, so that bugs me, but either way its a really solid bike. And pretty damn light for aluminum.
Posted about 12 years ago
Im also going to try and get more pics up. Ill try and remember!
Posted about 12 years ago
yea cant wait for the update pics
maybe your pics will convince me

Nice. I put my deposit on the frameset yesterday. The 52cm will be available again late october. I can purchase the complete bike in a 52cm right now but I'm just looking for the frameset only.

murdered out! really loved it... peel out those decals on your ellipse would make this even better!
Posted over 12 years ago
the first time specialized doesn't put the name on the frame. strange. a better update would be a carbon frame with this stealth look
Posted over 12 years ago
The name is no where on the frame but the notorious "S" is still on the headtube in a gloss black.

I think the feeling while riding is the same like the 2012 bike. It feels sooo good! WONDERFUL. Do you ride it on the track?
Posted about 12 years ago
I dont ride it on the track for a few unfortunate reasons. I dont have the money for memberships, the nearest current velodrome is hours away, and the new one they are building (about 45 min away) is 3000 or 5000 for a membership. :( But I improvise and ride it like a roadie! :D
