Nice build!
Just wondering how tall you are as I'm planning on getting a Stroma but not sure about a small or medium?
Thanks
Posted 12 months ago
172cm but the small size fits more like normal 54cm so just depends on what fit you are going for.

That's great, thanks.
I'm 175cm but shortish legs so I reckon the small should be ideal.

How's riding 1x without the clutch?
Posted about 1 year ago
If you mean running RX800 with the clutch disabled, zero issues even on super bumpy terrain. I find the clutch really only helps against chain slap and not for chain retention specifically.

I am using the 105 di2 on a different build and had the R7000 shifters from my old cx bike. Reuse + recycle.

dis gon be good

I'm pretty stoked. The frame looks good in person. Will report back how the di2 install process goes and post some final build pics.

damn you're right! I have some conti terraspeeds in gumwall 35mm but they would be a tight fit.

frame is pretty good, geo is slacker than the numbers tell so i pulled the 12sp di2 off in favor of mech disc parts i already had for an ubercommuter style

so cool!
Mine is at my ex for some riding but I'll ride it next month. When do you plan to finish the build?
Posted over 1 year ago
Dude yeah, post some photos on the road once you are able to ride your build.
The plan is to finish it by end of June (the frame is currently at my parent's house) I think. I have some 5-6 hour rides planned I think it will exceed on.
Any crazy ideas or parts you think I should try on it?
Posted over 1 year ago
I'll post pictures as soon as I ride it.
Your choice of parts looks good to me.
I personaly will put on a thinner saddleclamp and a darimo alloy stem just for looks but only if I decide to keep the bike.
Darimo IX2AL Stem in raw would look amazing on this build imo

I could get the Hope headset in silver for aesthetic purposes, Wolf tooth was sold out for some time!

just uploaded the rolling stock photo. going to cut fork and run the wires this week. should have it operational by mid month!

looks great and the weight is very good. A friends made in italy cinelli nemo with full dura ace is over 10kg. The silver headset doesn't look lost like i imagined. It works well with the silver discs and the complete black rest of the build!
How does it ride?!
Posted over 1 year ago
geo slacker than expected and all my k's are spent on short steep climbs so i really noticed it. so i pulled the 12sp di2 off in favor of mech disc parts i already had for an ubercommuter style. now my collarbone us broken (diff story lol) so i have time to plan.

Take a look! new weight is 9.13kg even with heavy dt wheels, lost some grams due to 1x chainring maybe
Posted about 1 year ago
Weight is ok and nice build. mine rides great even on steep hills I don't realy notice it
Posted about 1 year ago
I dropped tire pressure to 4 bar on 31mm gp5000 rides like a dream and even rips gravel.

glad that you like it. Mine will retire for the 2024 season becaus I'll get my Aerocross back
Posted 10 months ago
Por que no los dos? But I am excited to see the 2024 version of the Aerocross
Posted 10 months ago
because i have a trackbike, dwoncountry, enduro, commuter, winterbike and a road bike which are more than enough to clean an d maintain. No need to add more more non specific bikes.
