Bnut43

Bnut43 says:

Thanks man! I honestly love this wheelset. They aren't the lightest, but the hubs are ridiculously buttery. If you're looking for something a little different and light on the wallet, I recommend them. I ride some rough roads and they've held up well.

Hey bro how does the threading work on this bike? Im thinking about getting it and what are your inputs on this wheelset? and as far as lockring and cog? which ones work well with this wheelset cause I heard they need miche locking and cog

Posted over 12 years ago

Bnut43

Bnut43 says:

Hey man, I'm not sure if I understand your threading question? As for the wheelset, if you're not concerned with weight, they're awesome. They're about 2000 grams, but they're super solid and the Primato hubs run really smooth. I'd say they're comparable to Velocity's Deep V's. I think they're roughly the same depth, but a tad lighter. They didn't come with a cog so I'm running an EAI. The lockring is junk. It's supposably standard size (1.29" x 24 tpi), but when I tried replacing it with a Dura Ace cog, it wouldn't fit. I think it's actually Italian threading (1.32" x 24 TPI) which I guess would make sense being it's an Italian wheelset!

Posted over 12 years ago

iaznryan

iaznryan says:

So what kinda of lockring and cogs can I use on this wheelset?

Posted over 12 years ago

Bnut43

Bnut43 says:

The cog threading is standard so you can use any cog. I'm still using the Miche lockring so I'm not positive on that, but I'm pretty sure you can use anything that fits Campy...

Bnut43 says:

Miche makes hubs with a bolt-on cog that is offered but standard. so does phil wood. all italian stuff is really specific and weird sizes. i would have gone with Ellipses.
