It's a beaut!
This is the tape/saddle combo I've been looking for :-)

I understand the white, it keeps in theme with the paint job. But black everything, with some anodized box sections, would make that pink/white fade pop like nothing else. Black Flite, Lizardskins, black stem and drivetrain. Would be pretty sick.

I can see that, but my Colnago is my bike with black components and I wanted something light to contrast it. Plus I love love love shiny Shamals.

do you have any pictures of the frame before the restoration?
Posted over 9 years ago
I don't, I acquired the frame recently and I believe the frame was restored by Pelizzoli around 2010. I was the first person to build the frame up with components, so I had the head tube, seat tube, and BB cleaned up and reamed after the repaint.

San Marco is a beaut

It's essentially NOS 1990 date stamped white perf Rolls, and I think it was the second best find after the Shamals (not including the frame). It's really comfy also!

this is amazing. im so envious. the man himself is presenting it.

It is amazing that I found pictures of my bike just after being restored by Pelizzoli. My previous bike, a Pelizzoli FOR3, had his signature in the paint as a die-cut masked detail. This bike has his signature in permanent marker, you can see in the picture with him holding it that he hasn't signed it yet.

Very high praise for such great company of the other featured bikes, thanks!

Would you ever consider the silver 105 pedals? Or maybe event the Dura Ace 7810 pedals. I think that that is really the only thing that I would change about the bike, just an opinion. And the Dura Ace would certainly fit well regarding the quality.

These black pedals I just had lying around, I considered photographing without pedals. I have looked at the 7800 pedals, really nice stuff but quite expensive as they were the last alloy DA pedals, but I forsee getting some in the near future, just not NOS.

WooHoo!! Those are the ones that I wanted you to buy! Lol, Nice dude, I love those pedals! I would definitely get those ones if I have a silver groupset going on.

I'm waiting for my Cinelli XA stem to come in, then the bars are going on. It currently has the Shamals and NOS white perforated leather San Marco Rolls saddle mounted and the chain done up.

I can't wait for pictures, one of the coolest projects on this site!

Very nice indeed. The varying tubing diameters and the finish is awesome. Chapeau

Thanks, the Max tubing is pretty incredible with ovalized downtube that changes from head tube to BB lug. The top tube and seat tube are ovalized on one side as well, and chainstays are huge.

Having been wanting to get my peli resprayed...but it's so difficult to go them to respond to my mails!

I traded my FOR3 for this frame which had been refinished a few years ago, but never built since then. The frame is getting prepped (BB chase, face drive side, face and ream headtube, clean out seat tube), then I'll apply frame saver on the inside and build it up :) All Campy everything, with something Cinelli for the bars and stem, not sure on the saddle yet.
