Why'd you sticker bomb it? The green/white is the best color scheme..

What kind of fender is that? im thinking about getting one...
Posted over 12 years ago
i think they're planet bike, but if you're planning on using them on your mash, get something else because water still shoots up right between the gap between the rear bridge and the edge of the fender. they work on my other bikes though. i'd get a mtn bike rear fender or something. plus, itd be easier to attach and remove.

nice mash! btw did you climb up to 9600ft?!
Posted almost 13 years ago
Thanks! Indeed, the base of the climb was at 6800 ft with sections of 12% grade; top of Boulder Mtn, Ut

Man that wheelset looks feather light! How are those Kinlin xr200s holding up for you? Looking to build up a set myself
Posted about 13 years ago
They're definitely light, but with spokes at 120 Kfg the front wheel will flex laterally. I'm looking for a new front wheel cuz this one is on the Trek roadie right now, and i'll probably get something stiffer.

Great Green Cinelli! My personal pref is the Zoncolan with the graphic bullhorn; gives monster overtones to the Cinelli legend. Rims are choice.

Nice build man! Thinking of the exact same handlebars/Stem setup. Is it a 17deg arx pro stem?

how you liking those bars?
Posted about 13 years ago
they're much stiffer than the Nashbar pursuit bars i had before. haven't ridden many other 31.8 bars so can't really compare to anything else but overall i like them, especially the flat section on top
Posted about 13 years ago
Those cinelli bars are lovely. Sick build all together.
Posted about 13 years ago
Thanks man. I'm thinking of taping the bars all the way because I want to preserve the logo...

Love the bars, btw how was the century?
Posted about 13 years ago
It was sweet! Got a little lost because of bad signage but definitely no worries about riding it fixed. I'd do it again no doubt.

Love your new pics.. Those cinelli mash bullhorns and black sram omnium cranks look sexy ;D
Posted about 13 years ago
Thanks man! The stiffness is drastically improved. totally worth it
Posted about 13 years ago
I might trade my omniums for the black ones because they look really clean
Posted about 13 years ago
i feel you man! you should get some, then put your old ones in the new packaging and take pictures and put them on ebay.
i like how you ride the ponza. it is an underrated saddle haha
Posted about 13 years ago
Yea great idea Ill post them on ebay or even craigslist. lol yea the ponza is pretty light and haven't had any trouble with it. I still have the bianchi white stock saddle as well.

nooooo the silver cranks looked so much nicer. do the gxp cranks actually feel stiffer or anything though?
Posted over 13 years ago
well i can't really notice a difference in crank stiffness but the bottom bracket seems stiffer and is smoother. the 600 cranks went back on the road bike. they were much better aesthetically for sure.
Posted over 13 years ago
love the 600 cranks! there were some 600 tricolor brakes i saw today for 30/pair! would be a total match

How do you like that HED Belgium front? i've thought about getting those laced to Phil woods as a wheelset option. great bike! looks like it gets a lot of miles in. keep it up

I actually usually ride the HED/ White Industries wheelset on my Bianchi 928, it was just on this for a while because I had a flat. They are great rims! The quality is better than anything else I've ridden and the wide profile mixed with the tubular tires means you can get low into corners at high speed. I got 20/24 f/r and I weigh 150 lbs and I wish I got 20/28 or 24/28. But for the spoke count they're still stiff.
