It has an anniversary sticker on the seat tube that says 186, they were released in 1996 for the 100th Paris-Roubaix edition.
I still don't know how many were made for that specific run.

ok very nice ! But the 100th Paris-Roubaix was in 2002 and winner J.Museeuw, also in 1996 with Mapei Team triple, colnago C40 Mapei with steel colombus fork

My dad rides a C40 roughly set up like yours. Must say i do like them but it's the paint job on this one that is just amazing!!

Nice! No wonder why you have such taste on bikes ;)
This paintjob is actually the first or one of the first appeared on C40s, the tricky bit is to find it with matching seatpost!
