After roughly 3-4 months of working on this frame, it is ready to ride! I made this frame with the guidance and help of frame builder Aj Lu (Owner of Muirandessi Cycles http://www.muirandessicycles.com/) as a part of my Senior Project for High School. I love this frame to death, all the trial and error payed off and I'm very proud of the frame I built.
Frame:
DIY Custom Fillet Brazed frame made with a True Temper 4130 Chromoly Tube Set. Size: 55 Seat Tube c-c/55.5 Effective Top Tube c-c. Featuring: Paragon Machine Works DR2012 Horizontal Bottle Opener Dropouts, S-Bend True Temper Seat Stays, Nova Cycles Chromoly Seat Tube.
More Info:
The frame was based off of the 1993 Cannondale Track. Not exactly to spec but the Head Tube, Seat Tube angles and Bottom Bracket Drop was taken from it's geometry.
*still own but out of commission

Current Stage Info:
Through out the making of this frame my feelings about it changed to some degree. After finally getting to ride the frame that I made, it appeared that the fitment and geometry was slightly too big for me. I also ended up babying it a lot. Knowing exactly what went into this frame made me be more careful and aware of how I treated this frame. I can't let it go just yet, nor even use it for myself. So for now it is hanging on my wall as a reminder that I can accomplish anything if I put my mind to it, a milestone for me in this hobby that has humbly taken over my time. Maybe someday later on down the line I will build it up again.

you gonna paint it or leave it raw?
Posted almost 10 years ago
I'm leaving it raw! It has a clear coat over it right now. If I can ever decide on a color(s) to paint it then I might consider it!

I like the raw look a lot, I think more bikes should have that look

Whaaaat dude this is so sick, we gotta hit the roads of Eug one of these days.

thats so sick man!! I love the geo and the raw frame, wouldn't paint it or anything. it has to feel cool when people ask what kind of bike you have and you can say "I made it" haha

Exactly! Thanks man! Someone has already told me that it looks kind of like a Leader Kagero.

damn, high schoolers definitely get great opportunities these days. more than i got at least. this is great... paragon drops, fillet brazed all around? awesome.
i'd probably braze a steel fork, ride it around, and figure out what frame color matches the "personality" of the ride, if that makes any sense. cheers.

In Eugene it's nothing but bike nuts out here! I guess I got lucky!
Yeah I know what you're saying! A nice fillet brazed Columbus max fork with the matching fork crown and blades would be so choice!

Thanks! The build will look better once I get some better grips and replace the dumb test saddle haha!
