perfect commuter . how do you like those orgin8 straps ? I hated them brakeless, they'd always loosen up on me . Also how does that leader cosmic saddle feel . my buddy is looking for a new saddle on a budget .

I really like the Origin 8 straps for my single speed setup but yeah as for riding brakeless they are noo good! I had the Leader Cosmic on this build for about a week before i got rid of it lol I was not a big fan of it at all. Is your friend looking for a racing saddle or more of a urban saddle?

more of an all around saddle . I have a Fizik arione and he likes it but he's on a budget . What are you running now ?

The one in my current pics is a Selle Italia Turbomatic II. I have never really owned a good saddle because of my budget but if possible I would tell your buddy to just save up. If not Charge and Fyxation have good saddles for a good price. Or go on craigslist, i just saw on my local craigslist there is a arione for $50.

That's a good way to go. Buy a great frame built up and upgrade when you can. And these frames are very good value, Enjoy

New bar tape that is correctly applied.

haha for sure, I didnt give a two shits about how this got wrapped i just wanted it wrapped. There is barely any adhesive on this tape and im no pro so i had a hell of a time trying to wrap it, plus the damn caps WOULDNT fit. So out of fustration i just wrapped them without even thinking lol. But no worries changing bar tape veryyyy soon.

Hey, I'm interested in getting this in the exact same size! The scrambler looks really sweet but I always see polo/fgfs builds. Great to see a track/commuter build!
What's the weight (complete)? And how are you enjoying the ride - agile/sluggish, toe overlap etc?
And I think this would work well with pista drops and omniums - or any other black crank really for that matter if you're on a budget.

For the price these Scramblers are a great deal. With the right upgrades it can be as good as any Cromo frame out there. It has really nice comfortable but tight geo which gives you alot better handling and control. No toe overlap either! I havent had a chance to get a weight but with the right parts this can be a bike thats under 20lbs. Are you thinking about buying it complete or the frameset?

I was thinking about buying the complete bike, it's just a better deal that way imo. And yeah, over time i would have upgraded it so that it goes sub 20's, good to know that it has the potential for it. Thanks for the great feedback on the frame! Not many people have reviewed the scrambler raw with that new finish.

Buy some Omniums and try road drops. Hmm Deda RHM01 is cheap and good tho. Nice bike btw.
