What'll you be building up instead of this? And it really didn't look that small...
Posted over 12 years ago
It had a sloping top tube which made this 52cm seem even smaller. I am on a reallyyy tight budget and i want to save up on the side for something really nice down the road, so i went and bought a Windsor the Hour. Im going to be switching out all of the components of course, have alot of visions for it already =).

The new parts are lookin' good! I have a couple of suggestions though. First, slam that stem! I wouldn't recommend flipping the stem, unless you want the bike to be really aggressive. Also, I would definitely recommend getting hoods and road brake levers instead of the cross lever, it provides a lot more hand positions, and looks really good. And the Omniums will look really good! And the decals are definitely unique, but I've always thought they looked better when they overlapped with each other, instead of being evenly spaced out. Overall, you've made some really great changes!

Thanks! The only reason I havent made alot of these changes you suggested because this is setup works best for my job as a bike messenger. Once im done working as a messenger I plan to get rid of the freewheel and turned this into a fixed gear, get clipless pedals, brake hoods and other upgrades for long distance rides. This setup enables me to be comfortable yet aggressive in traffic and safe at the same time. I do plan to get risers pretty soon too in the meantime. But i cant wait to get a new job so i can set this up how i really want. And I havent slammed the stem because i plan to get a Alpina Fork, dont feel like spending time or energy cutting this fork. And i plan to get more stickers to cover up the spaces =) And your GTB is awesome.

Well I am looking forward to seeing it up to date. Did you go with black parts or silver?
Posted over 12 years ago
I got black, I wanted silver but I found the seatpost and stem on craigslist practically new for $90 all together so I had to snatch them up!
