Cycles GANOLO is a French company based near Versailles, at St Germain-en-Laye, to the east of Paris. It is owned by the family of former Pro rider Maurice Archambaud. The GANOLO name was conjured up in the late 70s and early 80s in order to market the frames at a time when Italian brands such as COLNAGO, Pinarello, Guerciotti etc were attacking the French market and depriving French builders of sales. I purshased bike in Saumur (France) to the first owner during the Anjou VĂ©lo Vintage 2019.

Not sure what happened to my comment, but interested to hear how the rear brake seats into the frame. Looks like the seat tube is also the brake bridge, but that seems like it would require specific hardware...

I honestly don't know how the caliper is maintained on the frame and honestly I don't really want to check by dismount it..! :)
No hole in the tube...

Great bike! French steel-frame builders were very experiental. Many aimed for a short wheel-base. But this one is more than unusual engineering. This is artistic.
How stable does it ride?

Wheel base dimension of this one : 370 (same as my mecacycle).
Very very fun to ride, very nervous and no problem of stability.

There should be a thread inside. Or the axle is soldered on the frame what I have seen on an Italian bike once.
