california love! this bike is absolutely perfect.
i would personally get different bottle cages, but that's just me!
Posted about 12 years ago
Thanks! I probably should have removed the cage altogether for the photos, come to think of it, ha! I went with the red ano to make the brakes look more at home. I'm sure this bike will go through a few evolutions, componentry wise.

Thank you all for the compliments and feedback, I really appreciate it. I'm really proud of the bike and I'm glad that it has broader appeal than to just myself!

This is such a beautiful bike! You really did a great job with the execution of the concept. I bet she rides awesome, and looking down at this thing between your legs just makes it that much more fun.

I love California so much that I was looking for a California Republic jersey with the grizzly on it when I was there even though I am from NYC. This is a gorgeous road bike! You can't buy this from a store, and that's why this belongs on Pedalroom as a showbike!

Thanks so much! In regards to your jersey quest, this might be the jersey for you:

My dad actually raced for the Pedaler in the 80's and was good friends with Will Ashford, who designed that logo. It's one of my favorites.

put your zipps on!
Posted about 12 years ago
Actually the Zipps were on loan with that Venge, so I don't have those anymore. Those EL45s are all mine though :)

This makes me want to get a road bike so DAMN bad. Good lord this is incredible

Specialized Romin is the hands down the best saddle I've ever sat on.
Posted about 12 years ago
This is awesome.. How do you like the allez?
Posted about 12 years ago
It's great! Feels very stable. Doesn't feel quite as nimble as the Venge, but that would stand to reason.
Posted about 12 years ago
Awesome! You should get the California Republic bar tape as well!
Posted about 12 years ago
I have a bunch actually. I thought about putting it on, but I think that would be overkill. Maybe I'll try it though haha. Love the avatar by the way.

Haha thanks. I see you're a Specialized employee! My cousin would've been a coworker of yours but they wanted to move him to Taiwan as a frame engineer... Must be a trip going on all those morning rides with the whole S faculty!

I know this is late, but it looks like a layered shot. It looks like the bike was shot in a studio and then the background removed and the image layed over the Christmas tree picture
