State of the art bike for it's era. I am told by a former employee of Shimano this group to be the absolute summit of craftmanship and tooling. According to Steel-Vintage: The Koga Miyata Proracer-S from 1985 was one of the best bikes available at that time and the choice of many professional cyclists and ambitious amateur riders. Its frame was made of the legendary double butted Miyata Hardlite FM1 tubes. I was very lucky the first owner of my bike has replaced the saddle for a Brooks just after he bought it in 1985. And he kept this extramely rare Ferrari red saddle hidden from sunlight. Now it's back on the bike it was sold with.
Frame:
handmade, Koga Miyata HARDLITE FM-1, double butted chromemolybdene.
