A "cheap build" that quickly turned into a somewhat pricey build. Great ride.

Current Stage Info:
My setup to bike to Ottawa to visit a friend. I spent 11 hours on the saddle one day, and 10.5 the next. It was a good time (besides the pouring rain, and lack of shoulder on the roads).

Sick 721 man! I like all your setups :)

Forgot to ask, do you really like this frame? Stiff? Heavy? Toe overlap? Geometry?
Posted almost 12 years ago
The frame is great, my only issues are no bottle cage bosses, and that I bought a seat post that was too short, so my BB-Saddle was a bit too low. It's a good, cheap-ish frame.

What's up with that ratio?
Posted almost 12 years ago
2.39 Ratio is 28km/hr at a cadence of 90, or 31km/hr at a cadence of 100. I average between 30 and 32km/hr as I ride, so I have no need for a higher gear ratio.
Posted almost 12 years ago
If I had a higher gear ratio, yes, I could go faster instantaneously, but I'd rather have a gear set up for the speed I go 99% of the time than for 1% of the time.

When I'm riding, I'm usually at a cadence between 90 and 110. Obviously if I'm going downhill, my cadence is higher.
