Current Stage Info:
Built up with a RED/Force groupset, this bike really shines as a road bike. After a good 50 mile ride I realized the bike was just not fitting me like I would like.

How did this treat you as a bike? Thinking about picking one up and building it up with Apex.

ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! If it was more like a 54 top tube than a 56 (btw this frame is a 55cm) then I would still have it built up. I am currently rebuilding it with a mix of components, mainly as a townie, but until I get everything, its up in the air. Highly recommend leader bikes if they fit you

I'm riding a 55cm 722ts already, just wondered how it does as a road frame. Fits pretty great actually.

That derailleur cable kinda long you think?
Posted almost 13 years ago
Pretty sure SRAM suggests a smooth exit from the derailleur, without an acute bend... that's the way it worked out best.

i'm with benson on this one. he said a little long, not a little round.
i feel like this bike needs a lot of adjustments (saddle angle, fore/aft, setback vs. straight seatpos, stem placement, bar angle). and i only say this because of the groupset on the bike. it was apex, it'd be whatever.

All the parts have been stripped off. I used the Red groupset for the Ruben, and the Rival groupset for the Cannondale. Maybe in the future I might rebuild the 722, but for now, it's but a frame on the wall

Damn, dude...when did you pick this up? Looks great!

Took about 2 months to find all of the parts. I found the frame on eBay and jumped... Ever since it seems like I've been moving at full speed to find everything. Should be complete in about a months time. I think it turned out FANTASTIC, and I have you to thank for my Leader Choices!
