How was this for cross? What kind of tires could this frame accommodate? I was thinking of making a Windsor the Hour into a SSCX of sorts and any help would be appreciated :)

The clearance depends on your fork's rake and drop outs. My front fits up to a 28c (it gets noisy during mud/sand) and the rear fits a 32c/35c (depending if I'm using a new tire & tube, naturally they stretch over time). And having road brakes was a huge plus! I'd recommend you to try it before getting a cross bike in the future.

Love the latest set up. digging the brakes, spinny gear and cross tyre in the back.

LOL. I got my son one of these when he got back from Helmand. Changed wheels, pedals, gave hi m cleats and said GO!

fun bike, it's the last of my track bikes until I find something aluminum, nice, and cheap

How much does it weigh now? It looks like it would weigh much less than 19.6 on that wound up setup.

Well it's an estimate. But it weighs around that unfortunately. The frame is just crazy heavy

Yeah, plus the stickers adds a couple of decimals to the weight haha.

this is dope! all you need imo is a saddle upgrade and you can call it quits on needing to upgrade this bike.
