A guy I know had a Cinelli Super Pista bit too large for him, and I needed an absurd stem to ride the Negri, so we traded.

Now Negri is ridden hard on the streets of track bike utopia, Helsinki. And I have the Cinelli as my sunday bike.

I really can't see the problem, all the components, except for the tyres, should be able to take this kind of use, with proper care of course.

That said, this is not the bike I mainly use this time of the year. Not to save the bike from the elements, but because riding it on gritted icy roads isn't that much fun.
