arent they sealed bearings?so tuning them up is not that hard right?
Posted about 11 years ago
Yes they are sealed, but you have to have the proper tension between the cones and the cartridge bearings. All you need is a couple cone wrenches and it should be a breeze.

NOO. Still interested in the Zen chainring, lol? Hopefully something even better will be replacing this, or are you laying the groundwork for a college fund for the young one?

I think I'm keeping it, unless the right buyer comes along with a good price. Its sadly sitting in pieces right now. But yes, still want that Zen!
Haha. And the college fund has been started!

Seems like a decent deal. I love the shit out of mine, I'm sure you would too.

Have you had any problems with maintenance on those hubs?
Posted over 12 years ago
I had one small problem, but that was because the previous owner didn't have them dialed in quite right. Now they spin like butter.

Just wondering because I thought about building wheels with different bearing hubs. Not for daily stuff, though.

Are you thinking about the sealed version or the loose ball version? I'd go loose ball if they were going to be intended for the track.
