Nice build! How's the front M13 holding up with brakes? Is the braking surface fading?

Bike is sold but during the time I had it the brake wear was only noticeable if you looked from a few inches away.

I am looking at Pake frames for another build. Trying to decide between the French or Track. Main thing is aluminum or steel. I have never rode an aluminum bike.. Is it the fact that it is aluminum that you didn't like it? Insite, please.. newbie.

It's not that I don't like it. In fact I love the ride and the way it handles. Its just that I don't enjoy riding fixed like I used to and would rather sell this, clear up space in my apartment, and then put the money towards something that I would literally use everyday to get to and from school(a car).

Honestly I really do love this thing. I do miss steel though, might get either a nice steel roadie or steel track later on down the road.

If you get anything steel, I highly recommend a EAI Bareknuckle. Really light weight compared to some aluminum frames and has modern sizing when it come to components. An old steel road bike with new group set would be fantastic, too.

I would like to try and get an Enve fork. I had an Alpina fork for a little bit, but sold it. Old Merckx would be so unf!

Nice build, I wouldn't change a thing! You've made the French look super sleek. I've been looking for an aluminum frameset to build up and your bike is selling me on the Pake.

Thanks a bunch for the compliments! I honestly think this is the bast bang for your buck AL frameset in the $300-600 range. I can't wait for the track season to start so I can put the frame through its paces.
