The aim of the bike is to build it with all italian components. (well trying my best to source all the italian parts I can) Waited for about 6 months to get my frame from Pelizzoli! 5 months of that, was the build (where sometime between there was a holiday for the Pelizzoli staff, they couldn't get the chromer to finish the job etc) and then 1 month of waiting for it to be shipped! When my frame was accidentally shipped to another customer in SWEDEN! lol It's now 100% finished, there isn't much I would change on the Peli, happy how it's turned out. Maybe reprint the shamal decals.. I'd like to thank my wife for getting the Pelizzoli Pista GP for me, it was our anniversary present! How rad is she?! She says "I'm going to be honest here and say...you're only popular because of the pretty bike frame i got you :)......and because your wife has good taste in...everything" lol

"I'm going to be honest here and say...you're only popular because of the pretty bike frame i got you :)......and because your wife has good taste in...everything". As I don't know your wife I can't comment on the seconad part of her statement, but for the first part = TRUE. Good thing, it works the other way arround too! A beautiful women with a beautiful bike increases street desirability a lot. But you can never be sure who people are looking after :) her or it :)

Unbelievable! Just dusted the floor with my jaw. Tell your lady, every day, that she's the shit!
Posted over 10 years ago
I got to limit the everyday part, either-wise she'll get a real big head haha.
Posted over 10 years ago
is this really on a 56 squared? the head tube looks like it would be on something a few sizes larger. sizing aside it looks incredible.

Nice bike man !! One question, is this frame drilled holed for front brakes? If not, do you think it's a good idea to drill a hole at a local bike shop?
Posted over 10 years ago
16holes shamal with 32holes hub?its save?
Posted about 12 years ago
phew good to hear it..thx for sharing man :)
and i want to ask 1 more..did u skid with tubular?(looking from cinelli mash)
Posted about 12 years ago
nah i never skidd on tubs. All of my tubular tyres are Zipp Tangete which are $120USD per tyre.
Posted about 12 years ago
ah,sorry :) my lasy question..where is the better frame, steel frame(njs or other steel frame)or cinelli mash?and why?thx mate for answering and sharing to me
Posted about 12 years ago
6? thats nothing, had to wait for like 10 for my low ;-)
your pelizzoli is damn hot! Looks a lot better with black more vintage style saddle!
Posted over 12 years ago
yeah the black definitely gives it more definition and that class. 10months! damnnnnn thats long man.

Dear lord is this nice a bike. & it looks good with both the carbon and low pro rims. Cheers!
Posted over 12 years ago
why dont you put a pedals out there.. but forget it, your bike are awesome dude, super clean build
Posted over 12 years ago
Beautiful ride:) One question, is there suppose to be a gap between the fork and the bottom part of the headset?
Posted over 12 years ago
good questions. We tried to press the headset down as far as we could go. usually they sit flush with the top of the fork. But for some unforeseen reason we couldn't get it down any further without destroying the fork.

awesome bike. I really like the colour. On the third pic in bright daylight it looks like sky blue while on the other pics its got some kind of light green touch. Can you tell me on which pic the colour looks most real to you.
Thanx
Posted almost 13 years ago
the one in the sunlight is the most real color, although it changes tone depending lighting
Posted almost 13 years ago
thanks. now I know what colour I'm going for - eau limpide looks so nice.
Posted almost 13 years ago
hey our bikes ould be siblings... btw I've also had a cinelli mash frame but the pelizzoli changed everything. besides I thought having two track bikes to be superfluous. anyway big ups to your pista!
Posted almost 13 years ago
hey man how long did your bike take to get to you? from the time you sent the deposit til it was at your door?
Posted almost 13 years ago
took a month from when it was finished to ship to me. And got mucked up and sent to someone else instead!
Posted almost 13 years ago
steel is real indeed. this is one stellar build my friend. what a beauty!
Posted almost 13 years ago
i feel you man, steel is real! Thanks for the support homie
Posted almost 13 years ago
are these campagnolo hubs from the newest campy record track group or did they come with shamals?
Posted almost 13 years ago
the front is an original shamal 16H front. The rear is from the new campy set, 32h rear. The front had a quick campy QR which i switched out for my front campy track axle and nuts from my record track 28h hubs.
Posted almost 13 years ago
were the campy hubs expensive? did you find a good deal locally or bought it from a dealer? i'm planning on building a track bike with a complete campy record track group and just trying to guess how much are these parts..
Posted almost 13 years ago
hubs are reasonable price. i bought them online, so i saved a sack load of money than buying straight from my local, even with my discount i got with them, it still came out cheaper to buy the lot from online stores. But at the end of the day, it whether you want to support your local shop and get them to fit it all for you or do it yourself. Buying a full campy set will definitely set you back a bit depending on what you buy. Rare = super expensive, Vintage = Expensive, Current = Expensive. lol
Posted almost 13 years ago
i was thinking about going with a current campy group..hence the question whether your hubs are infact new or vintage! thanks for the info! nice build by the way! cheers.
Posted almost 13 years ago
Wow, you have an awesome fiancée!! I'm fricken jealous!!!
Posted almost 13 years ago
This bike is literally... spectacular!!!
How much did you get your cranks for, man? I'm thinking of bidding on a pair of polished 151bcd and they're already at 233 + 11 shipping. And despite the price that I get them for, I would purchase a NOS 56t matching chainring for it for 95 + 5 shipping.
What do you think of those prices?
Posted almost 13 years ago
FUCK?! 56t?!?!!?! holly smokes, does your frame chain stay have the clearance to fit a chain ring that big?????
$233 is pretty expensive. But it's your money, an investment I guess?
Have a look on London fixed gear single speed forums for something for sale? or akfixed forums, which is what i use to get most of my stuff. Post a WTB: Campy cranks, heaps of the boys here have something for sale lol.
Posted almost 13 years ago
AHAHA! 56t isn't that much bigger than your 53t in terms of gear inches; the difference is really made in the cog. And now that you mention it, I'm not sure id it would clear! D: However, I don't think that I would end up putting vintage Campy cranks on my carbon bike, haha; and all of my other bikes have had a LOT of room in between my 54t and the chainstay. Plus, if it doesn't fit, I can just sacrifice my chainline and get a wider bb.
Thanks for all the help man. :]
And btw, where did you get all of your stuff polished at (or, what type of place) and what were the rates?
Posted almost 13 years ago
very nice build.
i have a plan to order pelizzoli pista GP frameset too. So i want to make sure about the size. i ride italian frame 55 cm now and im 180 cm tall. does the pista GP 56 cm fit to me and how tall are you?
Posted almost 13 years ago
i'm about 180cm too. I have a 55cm MASH and the 56cm Pelizzoli isn't very much different to one another.
All depends on what you want to achieve out of it? I like track frames fitted to me, other than that a lot of other people ride a size smaller to there actual fitted size, which allows you more freedom doesn't feel as big, but you lose a bit of feel and control riding a smaller bike (a bit twitchy)
You should be fine with the 56cm.
Posted almost 13 years ago
no probs. Frame is standard size. If you want to go custom, it's best you get fitted, measured up by them etc. That way you'll have the best geo to match what ever style of riding you want to use it for. If it's just going to be a commuter i'd recommend sticking with standard size.

sick bike dude! great job on the parts selection!
Posted almost 13 years ago
Thanks buddy! Took a while to collect all the parts! but she's all finished now
Posted almost 13 years ago
The best looking setup is with those low profile wheels!
Posted almost 13 years ago
thanks! i agree to. but i've yet to run the shamals in fully!
Posted almost 13 years ago
i disagree here, the concor/blacktape/and shamals do it for me. Id run gum walls on the shamals to tie them back into the classic feel.
Posted about 12 years ago
So beautiful! :D How's it ride? Also, if you don't mind me asking, how much was the frame? If you don't know because it was a present, then that's fine :) I was considering this for my next project since I have so much trouble finding frames in my size, and according to their website they do sizes larger than 58.
Posted about 13 years ago
Hey, unsure how much it cost. As it was a gift. But rides a lot better than my MASH. i prefer riding this daily. Well worth the investment!
Posted almost 13 years ago
You think Mr. Pelizzoli was too lazy to paint the seat stay joint so he just markered it? Lol jk, hands down BEST track build I've seen so far. And I have pretty good taste ;)
Posted about 13 years ago
Bit of a silly question; but what length is that stem? Just it looks spot on and can't decide on 11 or 12cm. Oh yeah, lovely bike obviously.
Posted about 13 years ago
hey unsure on the size. I'll check it when i get back from holiday. I think 110?
Posted about 13 years ago
Wow that stem and seatpost are nice! Im gonna get some TB14s too. Oh and dam that frame is nice.
Posted about 13 years ago
How are those TB14s? Would you recommend them?
Posted about 13 years ago
Yeah they're pretty good actually. Compared to my mavic open pro's these have a better roll. Just remember to lace them to some decent hubs.
Posted about 13 years ago
Really lovely looking bike!
congrats!
No I just gotta start waiting for my gf to get me one of those... yeah, right.
Posted about 13 years ago
thanks dude!
haha no need to wait just drop those hints to the mrs ;)
Posted about 13 years ago
very nice frame material. i thought about buying one of those too. i love your choice of color and the parts you were taking.
Posted about 13 years ago
Steel is real. You definitely won't regret getting a pelizzoli thats for sure :)
Posted about 13 years ago
Pure. Cant go wrong with italians. :)
Posted about 13 years ago
haha well definitely can't go wrong with their craftsmanship, but other things like shipping the right frame to the right person maybe a bit of a headache :)
Posted about 13 years ago
Dope! I didn't realise you were putting the Shamals on it. It's gonna be awesome!
Also, girls who get you frames like this should be married as soon as possible...
Posted about 13 years ago
haha yeah, I was quick to act on getting a ring on that finger :)
yeah bro, CAMPAGNOLO SHAMALS!! I got them commercially polished, it's going to be super bling
Posted about 13 years ago
perfect. really perfect. more pictures when you get a chance please, maybe some close up shots of the chrome head lugs, seat cluster, dropouts, etc. but you should be really proud of this one.
Posted about 13 years ago
Yeah definitely very proud of this build, will get some close up shots when I'm back from Sydney Film Festival. Hopefully the Shamals will be built by then.
