I took a course by Robert of Big Forest Frameworks to learn fillet brazing, turned out quite nice, I find. Geometry-wise i one-upped the One U.P. :) Using a regular BSC BB shell I made a rear end that can take up to a 45-622/650bX2,2, tire yet has chain stays only 418mm long. Don't know what the fuzz with those modern wide bbs is about :) -->Edit after about a year of riding: I found it, the fuzz is about chainline. Well I'll count that for the learning curve.

NDS is dimpled, not as much as for example Surly do it, but yes. Might have gotten away with a regular stay on DS, but that's a pretty close call for the chainline. Depends on sprocket size, I plan to run 1X with a 42tooth max. - probably smaller.

What tire clearance do you reckon you could achieve without resorting to the two-piece chainstay? Did you dimple your tubes?
