Thinking about picking one of these up for trail rides, what's the spacing in the back? Can I run a track hub? And the website says the can't I peg are removable, is that true?

Not sure about the pegs but I plan on putting brakes back on soon so its not an issue. I'm running a standard Phil Wood track hub. Its too narrow put i "fixed" it by stacking a few washers on either side.

I've been thinking about getting rid of my commuter track bike for a nature boy and this build settles it. love this bike! can you upload some more photo's? (a drive side picture preferably) Curious as to what size i should get though, i've read it is advised to size down.

wonderful execution of this concept, very rarely do I see this done right!

this thing is so rad! I'm glad it has been featured. What gear ratio are you working with? Do you mainly ride street or do you ever hit the trails with it?

Agreed. Been lurking this bike over and over again. Whenever I feel like I hate my natureboy I check this bike out, gives me faith that there's great potential for these bikes hah

Thanks! I use it on and off road but I usually take the rack off for the trails.
Im running 46x21 which is great for around town.

love your bike and it looks fun to ride.. but, does the ammo box attracts attention from the authorities? LOL
Posted almost 11 years ago
The ammo box is mostly for decoration. I have a freight baggage rack bag that i use for hauling things. Its much more inconspicuous.

any long term rust problems with no paint? or is the frame saver coating doing its job?

What process did you use to strip the bike? Beautiful build. !!

Thanks! Jasco paint remover and a bit of sandpaper here and there.
