Nice build. Wouldn't your cranks be 7710 instead 7600 since they aren't square tapered?

Bought it new. I've seen a couple on eBay. Small sizes only. Colossi makes them. There's another shop in Germany selling this frame. Goldsprints. Feels better then a cannondale, lighter just as stiff

Thanks. The electron looks good. super pista with a different fork looking. Hows it feel compared to the sprint? i went the other way. pista to sprint

Posted about 12 years ago

anindito_w

anindito_w says:

I loved the sprint way more than the electron somehow. The sprint was more responsive and the ride is not as harsh as the electron. I love the geometry of the sprint somehow. I am on '10 mash now. A completely different bike. I miss my sprint though.

Like it tight. ride through traffic alot and shoulders tend to be small here. feels perfectly fine to me. had 38s before.

bergs

bergs says:

What size are you running on the front now? I had the same issue with clearance, I wanted to run 25s..

Posted over 12 years ago

ShizukaniJohnny

ShizukaniJohnny says:

had to grind off some metal to clear a 23c. and only a thin 23c tire. cause all 23c tire wont be the same. some tend to be different. got 2 grandprix 4000's and one has a little more clearance. 25's will not fit. new fork would help.

Posted over 12 years ago

brianchang32

brianchang32 says:

Hmmmm...perhaps the smaller frames have more clearance? My 51cm frame has plenty of room for a 23c tire in the front and the back. I think I could even squeeze a 25c tire if I really wanted to. Love your bike btw! Best Superb Sprint I have seen so far.

Posted over 12 years ago

ShizukaniJohnny

ShizukaniJohnny says:

could not see if yours has a brake hole or not. The no brake hole is the tighter clearance one. Most likely for 21c.

Posted over 12 years ago

bergs

bergs says:

I ended up with a 700x20c zaffiro tyre on the front.

Rpreme

Rpreme says:

Wow I'm speechless. How does the sizing fit John? I was debating on getting one for daily use...

Posted over 12 years ago

ShizukaniJohnny

ShizukaniJohnny says:

Feels like my super pista but tighter and stiffer. Not really a daily bike. Toe Overlap alot. steel is for daily. 21c tires in the front unless you want to grind some fork down. this thing ate my BB sleeve. barely fit in and now its stuck. Almost stripped the BB sheel. Shipping goes on a boat. 2 weeks. Love it. but thing stressed me out before i could even ride it.
