This Textima frame was built in 1979 by Frank Böhme at Textima research and development centre, Nordstrasse, Karl-Marx-Stadt. The frame was used for point races as well as time trial and pursuit races. It might has been used by Lothar Thoms for Time Trial Races. The frame was optimized at first place for longer track distances. This is expressed in a more upright sitting position with 27/27 wheels. The wheelbase is narrowed for Monouvrability and furthermore the frame comes without lugs and gussets to reduce the weight.
