Very pretty build! I also recently acquired an older Raleigh frameset, and am pleased with build and ride quality. I'd personally try and repurpose that old TA specialties (?) crankset or take some paint stripper to the 6500 Ultegra logos.

Thanks! You're on to something about the crank logos... they do feel a little out of place. Really, the crank's aesthetics don't really fit. I've been eyeing some 7700 cranks, but trying to keep this a parts-bin build.

The original crankset is a cool Stronglight. My kid "inherited" my Peugeot. I'm going to put the crank and the Normandy-hub wheelset that came from the Raleigh on it for a full French build.
