All original 1985 Schwinn Madison. Picked it up from a local bike shop owner who was in a pinch. Made with Columbus Tenax tubing and rides like a dream. Sold to a cool dude in SF who rides it to work everyday.

Beautiful piece. I love that you were able to maintain so many of the original elements. Very classy. I wish mine was nearly as salvageable when I got it. It would have been a completely different build.

I got lucky and found it in mint condition. Yours looks great in that blue, throw on a white saddle and try to search for some old school schwinn logos for the frame.

Nice! I just got an '86 madison and want to replace the existing Kalloy seatpost that says 26.2 but the spec (http://goo.gl/dxS6sl) says 26.5/6? Can you tell me your seatpost diameter?

I'll have to get a caliper and check it but I know that its not a 27.2. If your post says 26.2 and it fits then get the same size to replace it.
