really nice! did she crack? hope that wheelset with the purple mack hubs is still getting some use!
Posted over 8 years ago
sold the wheels on abt year ago but i believe they are still being used properly.
nope. the frame didn't crack, just retired.

is there anything wrong with the frame or are you just done riding it?

I have to agree with what Hieronymus said. I find myself visiting your '92 cannondale track bike Everytime I come to pedalroom. The bike against the bright tan background is utterly beautiful. Cheers **

thank you for your kind words.
i also like to think that this bike has "that certain something", maybe it's charachter then.
it is definitely more than just the sum of its parts.

this bike is one of the first i favorited on this site. i love cannondales in this size, they look perfect. and yours has so much character and it shows the love it gets. that photo is so good: "does my bike look fantastic...let me check. yes it does. still."

How do you like those bars?
Posted almost 10 years ago
They look great I've been thinking about trying something similar. Groovy whip!

One of the best Tracks here. Those hubs are perfect, I will most likely get some Macks for mine next season :)

The pink hubs really make this one stand out from the crowd. So sick

weight?
Posted over 10 years ago
No idea. Somebody guessed 6,5kg last weekend but probably more than 7kg. Been meaning to weight the bike for a while now, perhaps it actually needs to be done.

Jealous AF about this bike! I think this bike is more free than me...

Is that the pewter 2nut? Can't tell with it reflecting off the blue. Great build

Thanks. They look nice but I'm quite fond of the salsa at the moment. Appreciate the thought.
If you happen to run into a WU seatpost that I'd be interested in..

Amazing, but the Easton set up doesn't do it for me. Especially the riser set up. Other than that, solid.
Posted about 11 years ago
More classic setup with aluminum post and drop bar might look better buy certainly won't feel like it.
Bike's ridden in the city and the carbon dampens vibration of the otherwise very stiff frame and makes the ride enjoyable even in cobbles.
Someday I'll build as it should but that's probably the day I stop riding it frequently..

Found it!
Posted about 11 years ago
I found something that I like at least..
It's not SUL, don't know if it's cromoto either since it doesn't have the hashtag inside the clamp like the ones of the voluntary recall. Anyways.. This stem was made to this bike. Can't even find a picture of a similar stem with goggl srch.
some rare shit :D

Love the Cannondale photoshoot.
Ever try to find a Salsa SUL quill or a Nitto Crystemblue?
Posted about 11 years ago
I've been looking into salsa stems but can't seem to decide what to pick as a permanent choice. Crystemblue is very nice but out of my price range and I'm not sure how it would fit with the big raggedy look of the 'dale.
The ritchey stem was both temporary and horrible and was there only for a day or too since I didn't have anything else to put on the bike having sold the previous stem. Salsa quill with a face plate would be nice..
Well the season for this bike has anyways almost come to an end so soon it's time to deassemble it on the shelf to wait for spring. During winter I have time to decide what direction I want to go with the cockpit.

Yours photos are seriously awesome. I love this build.

Thanks.
It's really not too often you see proper pics taken of a bike but your mash is a great example of quality work.

Ha! Thanks man, it takes a lot more effort to shoot with a 35mm than DSLR though.

such a beautiful frame.
you shouldn't ever repaint it because it has such great character and that color is too pretty.
Posted over 11 years ago
Don't worry wasn't planning repainting the frame for two reasons:
1. I love it beat up like that. This bike is meant to be ridden with and not kept on the wall and as it's already beautifully chipped I don't have to worry about chipping a mint frame for the first time.
2. Re-making the beautiful blue would probably be very hard if not impossible even if I took the frame to a shop and I'd also face the problems mentioned in reason one.
It shall remain original.

Oh, that came out so serious.
I'll put a smiley here :) to ease up a bit
