damn that handlebar's looks huge...is it?
Posted over 11 years ago
The risers? If so, yea they're long. More comfortable. It's easy on the shoulders.
Posted over 11 years ago
Probably just the way it's photo'ed. Don't forget they are track drops and not the common road drops.

I just stumbled over your craigslist ad. Are you really selling this beauty? Jesus - I wish it would be my size!
Posted almost 12 years ago
sick build. how expensive was it?
Posted about 12 years ago
Thanks man. It was a pretty penny when you want it a certain way.
Posted about 12 years ago
Looks great yo! Will you ride it in the snow?
Posted about 12 years ago
Thank you. I actually did ride it in the snow this past week. Though it wasn't on purpose, lol. I missed the memo on the snow day we had here.
Posted about 12 years ago
Oh well! Another picture perfect one!
Note to self:
Gotta own an all-NJS bike at some point to get that "something-special"-bug off of me.
Posted about 12 years ago
If not an NJS. Just an all steel track bike. The feeling is amazing. A steel bike is stiff, no flex, solid and just a great ride. Only down side is weather conditions (rust).

steal is real! just handlebar angle
nice bike btw
Posted about 12 years ago
Thank you. I've acknowledge the bar angle issue in my summary. It's been adjusted since the photo and actually been replaced with a longer stem.
Posted about 12 years ago
sounds great
I think 80mm is actually short for you.
ilove that wheelsets
Posted about 12 years ago
The final product looks good! Glad to see you got 110 axles. Enjoy this one. Hope this ones a keeper..
Posted about 12 years ago
Thanks. I was beginning to feel that they weren't going to come in because of the storm. I hope so too. This one took me longer to put together compared to my other builds.
Posted about 12 years ago
I actually find it more comfortable when the drops are at a slight angle. Maybe drop them back down just a tad instead of having them completely parallel to the ground. Anyways, killer build! looks great!
Posted about 12 years ago
I'm still playing around with it. I just got a longer stem today. Thank you.
Posted about 12 years ago
Looks great! You gonna be riding this for cranksgiving? I'm thinking of doing it but I don't want to get lost lol.
Posted about 12 years ago
Thanks. But no, I'm going to use the Paramount. You can't get lost in NYC, lol.
Posted about 12 years ago
It's easier then you think, i'm not a NYC native. The first time I went to the city alone I got lost and wandered the L.E.S for 3 hours.
Posted about 12 years ago
OOOO! Damn.. I'm sure you learned a lot during that 3hr outing. Always look for the bridge(s) it'll get you home.
Posted about 12 years ago
The long wait had finally paid off!
Hope you keep it for a while..
Posted about 12 years ago
Thanks. Lord knows how long I'll keep it. Hopefully for awhile. I do have my eye on another build though :)
Posted about 12 years ago
cant wait for u build bro .. i really like the way u build ur bike ! especially ur LOW// which was sold :(
Posted about 12 years ago
Thanks. Hopefully my axles will be in this week so I can finally put her together.
Posted about 12 years ago
Finally, steel frame ahaha can't wait for the build man!
Posted about 12 years ago
Ha! I had a steel before, though it was more of a kick around and experimental bike. It actually made me love steel. It would be done by now if Hurricane Sandy didn't hold up my axles that's in the mail. I'm sure its probably lost now.

Man, I saw this baby on ebay and really wanted it but had no money :( I had a whole dream build and everything for it, but definitely glad to see this baby in the hands of a good owner and can't way to see some sick shit that's put on this thing
Posted about 12 years ago
Thanks! I was hawking it too for some time. Fell in love with the color, plus the cost wasn't too crazy like most of them are.
Posted about 12 years ago
My dream<3 or a Panasonic?
Posted about 12 years ago
http://www.njs-export.com/ or ebay.. You're bound to find something that'll make you happy.
Posted about 12 years ago
Dat njs bug
Posted about 12 years ago
It's a bitch, lol. All I want to do is ride the fucker. This is the longest I've been without a track bike.
Posted about 12 years ago
It'll be worth it dude. Nobody in NY had the axle
Kit? I feel like Chari would.
Posted about 12 years ago
I just started asking later today, Chari doesn't have it. I guess I'll be on a mission tomorrow.
Posted about 12 years ago
I guess NY doesn't have everything. I checked all places I would think have them :( .,Track Supermarket has yet to hit me back. I end up finding them on another site. So they are in the mail now :)
Posted about 12 years ago
You should be able to find axle conversion kits on ebay and through various websites. I think Tracksupermarket offers a conversion axle kit from 100/120 10mm to 100/110 8mm for front and rear Dura Ace hubs.
Posted about 12 years ago
I seen the kit. But it doesn't say if its for the front/rear. Seems like for the rear only.
Posted about 12 years ago
Looks good. Have you considered cold-setting the frame to 120mm?
Posted about 12 years ago
Now this wouldn't be a good idea. Lots of bad things can happen.... Plus the track end width is 8mm so a axle conversion would be ideal for this frame...
Posted about 12 years ago
I forgot about the 8mm thing. And cold-setting isn't that bad...
Posted about 12 years ago
Well, for this it would be bad, but for like 126-130 it's not bad.
Posted about 12 years ago
Thanks guys! I guess, I'll just find the best price for the axles.
Posted about 12 years ago
There's nothing wrong with cold-setting at all. Pretty much any lbs worth a damn and any frame builder who knows what they're doing can/will offer the service. It's been done for decades as a tried and true practice.
Posted about 12 years ago
OH NO you sold your LOW. Anyway can't wait to see this Bridgestone build up. Awesome colour. Hurry up building it!
Posted about 12 years ago
I see someone went with NJS steel.. You won't be disappointed. Can't wait to see the final product!
