Missed this - what did the posting say??? I sold this to a guy in the Bay Area, guess it was him?

I would think it sold, it had a weird build kit on though I dont remember exactly what

Oh well, thanks for the info though just the same, this bike has had a weird life. Had it with me in Germany while I was living there, and now it dwells on the streets of SF.

Always my fear with the carbon integrated mounts, man. My condolences.

It's even worse - the frame is aluminum, so it's welded to the frame. If it were, say, a carbon EVO, I just send the frame out to be fixed. What is really gutting is that I waited basically 6 months to build this up, just have this happen just as I finally had the chance to start riding again.

whats the paint ?

It's a fade between violet (at the rear drop outs) and emerald green (fork ends) - I forget the color codes, unfortunately! Wasn't as successful as I had initially hoped, but whatever, it's not naked.

I can't wait to see this, I've been thinking about doing a build almost exactly like on a repainted caad12 disc this for a long while. Good luck

Thanks man, it's far too late to turn back now! It seems to me like the CAAD12 is the perfect place to start with if you want to build yourself a "superbike" but save on the frameset and put those savings into the components. Though, you do run the risk of things not exactly turning out right. Hopefully they will here!

HED belgians if you're doing something baller, otherwise DT swiss or h+son

Yeah, those would be my first choice, but I'm not sure I can source those in Europe, sadly. Looking at the Easton EA90SL as a possible alternative.
