got one quetion on the c record pista headset.
you mentioned that pista headset bearing is 5/32 instead of road 3/16. so is the bearing making the headset lower hight?

not only bearings, for sure. But with bearings you just can easy recognize pista one.

i mean that they have the same design, but different sizes of bearings, traces, cups etc.

Wow, this is going to be such a nice bike. Haven't seen a lot of 1st gen C-Record Pista cranksets! Was wondering about the headset. How did you dertermine it's a Pista headset? I know the Pista headset supposedly has a slightly lower stack height but I've yet to find a good comparison between the road and pista versions.

Hi Thanks! You are right, pista headset has a lower stack height - 38mm and also smaller bearings - 5/32" instead of road 3/16".
