How tall are you? Cuz I'm about 172 and not too sure 51 or 53 is good for me~~
Posted over 10 years ago
Both different. I would still have the Mash if I didn't need the money at that point. The Mash honestly is a great riding bike. It's like a road bike with track geo. The Low was straight track and way more aggressive compared to the Mash.
Posted almost 11 years ago
Why did you ditch it? I love it, wish i had the money to get one
Posted almost 11 years ago
It was just a bit too small for me. A 54 would have been perfect.
Posted almost 11 years ago
If both had fit you which one would you like better the Cinelli Mash or this low//
Posted almost 11 years ago
awesome Low! dude what size would you suggest i get? i'm 5'9 and half. and have a 32 inch inseam. would a 53 be perfect? or a 51 cm?:o
Posted about 11 years ago
Thanks for the compliment. I strongly suggest getting the 53. Don't even think about getting the 51. The inseam isn't something you should focus on. The top tube length is most important.
Posted about 11 years ago
How did the bike feel with the 650c wheel and fork? Beautiful!
Posted over 11 years ago
Would you recommend the Affinity chainring?
Posted almost 12 years ago
Yea.. It's great looking, haven't had an issue with it and the price is perfect.
Posted almost 12 years ago
Your low was an inspiration for me to get one, and now it's gone.. again :(
Posted about 12 years ago
You're welcome bro. Sorry to disappoint but, it was well ridden and taken care of. Now, do the same with yours.
Posted about 12 years ago
Love this LOW//. I just filled in the order form online for mine! I was just wondering what was your actual wait time. Also, how long did it take for them to reply back to you. I filled out the order form and it's been a week and I haven't received an email yet.
Posted about 12 years ago
Thank you. My wait time wasn't long cause I ordered it early last yr, it took about 2.5 mos to get. I suggest calling him and letting him know you placed the order.
Posted about 12 years ago
I see. They got back to me. Apparently, they field their orders once every week so that's why. How tall are you? and what's your inseam?
Posted about 12 years ago
I'm 5'8.5 my inseam is a 31'. Keep in mind that he measures the bike according to the effective top tube. I had a 52cm TT, which from center of the BB to the Top Tube was about a 56.5cm. I would have preferred a 53cm for the pursuit version or I suggest getting the track version.
Posted about 12 years ago
Yeah, what's next on your plate man? You've had almost all desirable aluminum frames!
Posted about 12 years ago
I already have it :) Just need to take some photos of it. I'm missing one thing from it but, its okay.
Posted about 12 years ago
Awesome build man, didn't realize your in Brooklyn NY. I just moved to Brooklyn. What's next on the list, perhaps a Kagero? Or are you stepping away from pursuit geometry. We should get a ride in sometimes man, I should be done with my new 735 build in 2 weeks.
Posted about 12 years ago
Thanks man, and welcome to Brooklyn. Naw, no Kagero for me. I already have the bike, it has a slight slopping top tube :)
Posted about 12 years ago
love the 650/700 fork and wheel swap.
great looking bike.
very compact and tight.
Posted over 12 years ago
still trying to choose between this and the mash.
which one would you choose if you could only ride one.
and also is the toe overlap difficult to ride in compared to the mash?
Posted over 12 years ago
Almost a difficult choice. If its a time frame, then go with the Mash. Money is about the same, The Low cost a bit more now. You have to factor in getting a headset, seatpost clamp and a fork. The toe overlap was annoying when I first got it but, you'll get use to it. If you plan on doing long trips i would suggest getting the Track version. But to answer your question, If I can only pick one I would pick The Low Track version.
Posted over 12 years ago
this is 52 ? why somehow i feel that it's big haha :D
center to top how long is it ?
Posted over 12 years ago
Yea. The top-tube is 52cm. The actual seat-tube length from the center of the BB to the top is 56. Being that it has a high BB and the seat-tube is on 75 degree angle It'll have the same fit as your Bolt.
Posted over 12 years ago
oh i see love ur low so much buddy ! how much do u pay for the frame n fork ? added to my favorite !
Posted over 12 years ago
Thanks bro. Then, I paid $990 for the frame and fork. He's charging a bit more now for the frame/fork.
Posted over 12 years ago
icic .. how long do u wait bro ? sorry i ask quite a lot question hoho
Posted over 12 years ago
Took me 3mos to get it. The current led time I believe is about 9mos.
Posted over 12 years ago
o ic .. so before 3 months can be done n now its about 9 months wow @.@ where do u come bro ?
Posted over 12 years ago
NY ! nice city .. i really want to get to the LOW// frame -.-" but how can i get it if i need to wait 9 months.if u want to sell the frame let me know hahahaha
Posted over 12 years ago
Ha.. Not selling it. I already sold it and bought it back because I missed it. I had it posted in the F/S forum section.
Posted over 12 years ago
u bought it back from the person u sold to ? wow haha ... nice bike broo .. best of luck .. i hope one day i can get Low// too !
Posted over 12 years ago
how he zoncolan? heard theyre quite uncomfortable
Posted over 12 years ago
Its fine with me. Everyone behind is different. If you're a weight weenie then get something a bit lighter. This is rated at 235oz. I personally still like the SLR.
Posted over 12 years ago
lol i using a s.marco concor at the moment so im no really weight conscious but more comfortable aspect
Posted over 12 years ago
I personally think its comfortable. It's much better on longer rides and being that its longer than a SLR you have more room to play around.
Posted over 12 years ago
I planning on ordering one of these but can't decide between 52 or 53 cm... how tall are you? and how does this size feel for you?
im 5'6 but my 52 right now feels too small and I wish I got a 54... dont wanna make the same mistake
Posted over 12 years ago
are you hit up your front wheel while riding?
Posted over 12 years ago
Do you mean, have I hit my front wheel while riding? If so, yes I have. Only when doing a tight turn because the geo is very tight.
Posted over 12 years ago
mavic are great wheels got a pair
do you have rear?
Posted over 12 years ago
Yea, it's been on the bike for a minute now. I just removed the decals and recently just purchased the front.
Posted over 12 years ago
lmao did you buy it back or get new one?
what happen to the dale?
Posted over 12 years ago
just ordered mine in grey with grey decals
but 9 month waiting time :(
Posted over 12 years ago
Wow! Thats long. At least you have time to get all your parts together before the frame come.
Posted over 12 years ago
Curious to know what size track frame you ride? I just ordered a LOW// and I'm considering the 54, which on the order sheet claims it fits like a 53. Currently I ride a 53 Pista but I feel like I could go a size larger to be a little more raked out, got any advice? Thanks
Posted over 12 years ago
Mine was a 52cm. I'm 5'8. My cannondale is a 54cm. Personally I plan on getting another one. I would get the Track version instead. Just because of the more relaxed geo.
Posted over 12 years ago
Interesting, I've never ridden a pursuit but I'm not planning on riding drops either just bullhorns. I'm also just planning city riding no longer that 30-40 mi. round trips, maybe up to 100 mi. a week. My Pista is set up pretty aggressive, that's what I'm using now. Was the aggressive geometry the decision maker on selling your LOW? I have also considered the track but the pursuit is so damn sexy. I'd like to hear more if you don't mind sharing. Thanks.
Posted over 12 years ago
The LOW will be more aggressive than your pista. I sold it to get my red cannondale track. It took me 2yrs to find it. So I thought I can order a LOW at any time. Don't get me wrong the pursuit is sexy as hell but, if you just plan on doing relaxing rides I would consider the Track.
Posted over 12 years ago
Cool, thanks for the input. I think I might go with my gut and get the 54, I should be able to ride a "medium". Is that Massan's old LOW in the other photo? Dude kills it!
Posted over 12 years ago
How do you like those Dedas? Thinking of getting some for my Concept
Posted almost 13 years ago
My favorite LOW! good luck on the sell :D
Posted almost 13 years ago
Thinking about selling it. Trying to figure out what I can get for it. Money talks.
Posted almost 13 years ago
dude, hows that rear thickslick treating you? i'm contemplating switching from the rando.
Posted almost 13 years ago
Thanks for the compliment. The slicks are treating me right. Haven't had a flat yet and they're smooth rolling too.
Posted almost 13 years ago
siick man outta curiousity ... how tall are you? and what was the effective top tube you got at the time
Posted almost 13 years ago
Hey, awesome bike! Just wanna ask how the Time ATAC Alium are in your opinion. Thinking of riding those.
Posted almost 13 years ago
Thank you. Me personally I like the Time Atac's. They are easy to clip in and out of. They are a little heavy but, they are mountain bike pedals.
Posted almost 13 years ago
Have you had any problems accidentally pulling out of your pedals?
Posted almost 13 years ago
Nah, I haven't. If you do, you have to tighten the tension on the spring.
Posted almost 13 years ago
DOPE!!! how it feels to use 650c? i want do the same with my bike
Posted almost 13 years ago
Thanks. It's an awesome ride. It allows me to throw down my power better. If you plan on the doing the 650c fork/wheel keep in mind that you'll drop the bottom bracket by 2 inches. So your cornering will be different than what you are use to.
Posted almost 13 years ago
Hey Andrew, it's Chris the one you sold the Alpina fork to. This build is awesome!
Posted almost 13 years ago
Thanks for the compliment. But, sorry to inform you I'm not Andrew and I never sold you the Alpina fork.
Posted almost 13 years ago
Hey im just wondering , does the 650c wheel help from the overlapping ?
thanks. nice build btw, a true pursuit bike (=
Posted almost 13 years ago
Thanks for the compliment.
Being that the geo is already tight. There will always be toe overlapping. Since the 650 front, it has helped out a little bit. It's just not as insane as it was with the 700 on.
Posted almost 13 years ago
Damn dude, it looks so crazy now!
Posted almost 13 years ago
YES! The true pursuit is what I was aiming for. It's hella fun. I can't stress that enough.
Posted almost 13 years ago
MASSIVE respects for getting the 650c fork + wheel. Now you're riding a TRUE pursuit bike. :]
Posted almost 13 years ago
Looking good without the S80!
Posted almost 13 years ago
I just love the simplicity of the 650c. But that's just me. Sick bike still.
Posted almost 13 years ago
I understand what you mean. I don't like how it looks on there. It's the brake suface that bugs me. I'm actually in the process of changing the Open pro to a H + formation.
Posted almost 13 years ago
wow..you already change 650c fork for front!!?? nice
Posted almost 13 years ago
Yea man! I kinda wanted to be the first to try it. And also wanted to know how it feels with it.
Posted almost 13 years ago
650c front wheel and fork = epic win! I've seen a couple of 26in/650c Ventos and Shamals for sale on eBay, you should get one of those! Also, do you still have the S80?
Posted almost 13 years ago
I was originally going to get the shamals. But, being that I was generally wanted to test out the 650 front. I didn't think it was a smart move to spend that much on a wheelset and not like the way the bike rode. Yea, I still have the S80.
Posted almost 13 years ago
smart move, Shamals sure are pricey. Is the S80 for sale?
Posted almost 13 years ago
I'm still undecided about selling it. I would probably want to trade for a phil wood-deep V wheelset.
Posted almost 13 years ago
Lookin' great! ever thought about removing the decals on the S80? I'm not sure if it would look better or not, since the red on the S80 matches the red on the frame. Or maybe, if they're 3 separate decals and not one large one, you could just leave the SRAM decal on and remove the rest. I think that'd look the best. Well, whatever you do it'll look great.
Posted about 13 years ago
Thanks. I did think about removing them. But, I got that rim for the simple fact of the color. I'll wait until I beat the rim up some more then I'll remove it.
Posted about 13 years ago
How does the ThickSlick ride? Do you get som grip on wet or is it just for dry streets?
Posted about 13 years ago
Funny you asked. Cause I officially tired them out in the rain yesterday. They aren't bad, maybe because my weight was them. They kick up more rain than threaded tires. So it's best to use a mud/rain guard. I would suggest using the 25/28c if you want the tire for everyday use. If not, a threaded tire would be best.
Posted about 13 years ago
I,ve heard a few ppl saw these feel like old cannondale tracks is it true? and nice build btw!
and arent you scared riding that s80 around the city?
Posted about 13 years ago
I wouldn't say they ride like them. More so they remind you of them cause of the look. But, nope not scared. At the end of the day the S80 is a rode wheel. So it can take a little beating. Thanks.
Posted about 13 years ago
sick sick build! lovin the combination of S80 and LOW frameset!
cheers
Posted about 13 years ago
Saw you and your bike on Prolly, Clean build!
Posted about 13 years ago
Yea, my friend just told me about it. I'm world class famous now, LOL! j/k. Thanks for the compliment.
Posted about 13 years ago
which one better sram or aerospokes? :D
Posted about 13 years ago
It comes down to personal taste. Personally, I like the Sram S80 better than the Aerospoke. Why? because, it's lighter for one and second the sram hub is much more smoother than the aerospoke I had. Also, it looks better to me. Another thing. You won't see everyone with the S80, you're more likely to see the Aerospoke.
Posted about 13 years ago
Now this is hardcore, absolutely love what you did with this. It seems we have the same taste in bikes my friend! I ordered my Low a little while ago, i'm still on the waiting list for a good couple of months though! But i'm gonna post up my Mash on this pretty soon as well, it's finally done, just need to take some pics!
Posted about 13 years ago
Yea, man I noticed. I ordered mine back in March and it took 3 months to come. But, I need your Alpina Wings Fork. That thing is lovely.
Posted about 13 years ago
Sorry, didn't mean to remove your comment. But in comparison to the Mash, there really isn't no comparison. The mash functioned more like a road bike to me. As to the LOW it's more aggressive, ready for the track and feels at home on the street. At first the toe overlap was annoying now, I'm use to it. The larger the bike meaning in CM wise the less you'll have a foot/toe over lap. So, if you get a 54/56cm or bigger it'll be less or completely none at all.
Posted about 13 years ago
Love it! Love it! Love it!
Out of this world..
Finishing my mash histo but would love to get my hands on a LOW//
Posted about 13 years ago
Awesome dude! So good to see another LOW on here.
Posted about 13 years ago
AH! Yes it is! Your LOW is sick too! How those that Zipp feel on there?

How is FSA omega comp. drops?

BklynLOW says:
They were okay. On the heavy side if you're a weight weenie. Also felt that it was much better for an actual road bike.
